Valley Dance
Theatre offers a complete dance curriculum for the
recreational to pre-professional student.
Placement class is by age and ability at the
discretion of the faculty. Class sizes are
limited for more individualized attention.

Baby Ballerinas
Combination of creative movement and
pre-ballet for 3-5 year olds. Attire: solid color
leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, ballet
skirts allowed. Hair: pulled back from the face. |

Exploring Dance
Kindergarteners and 1st
graders will
explore creative movement and learn fundamental of
the three basic dance techniques: ballet, tap, jazz.
Ballet will be covered every week,
with tap and jazz
alternated. Attire:
solid color leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes,
black tap shoes. Ballet skirts allowed. Jazz pants
and jazz shoes are not required but may be worn
during the jazz portion. Hair: secured off the face
and neck. |

Ballet/Pointe
The foundation for all
concert dance. Teaches the basic steps of all dance
forms along with poise, grace and discipline.
At the appropriate technical level, students will
progress from ballet shoes to pointe shows and
pointe work will be incorporated into the class.
Attire: solid color leotard, pink tights, and pink
ballet shoes. Ballet skirts allowed. Hair: neat bun
or french twist. Boys attire: fitted white t-shirt,
black jazz pants, white socks, black ballet shoes. |

Jazz
Upbeat and powerful
dance form using stylistic accents. Broadway theatre
and lyrical styles will also be explored in this
class. Attire: leotard, tights or jazz pants,
black or tan jazz shoes. Hair: secured off face and
neck.

|
Tap
Rhythmical dance
created by wearing special shoes to make sound in
various patterns. Attire: dancewear and black or tan
tap shoes. Hair: secured off face and neck.

Modern
Exciting and expansive
dance form celebrating the freedom of movement.
Attire: leotard, convertible tights or dance pants,
no shoes. Hair: secured off face and neck.

|
|
|
|
 |
|
Hip Hop
Fun and energetic
freestyle dance form often seen in music videos.
Attire: dance or athletic wear, jazz shoes, or jazz
sneakers. Hair: secured off face and neck. |

Flex
Intense stretching and
conditioning class for the serious dancer only.
Intermediate level and up. |
